First of all we will try to understand the meaning of word ISLAM. Islam means peace derives from word slam and also it  means submiting our will to ALLAH subhan-wa-tala. means obtaning peace by submiting our will to ALLAH subhan-wa-tala..  It  directly say's  that we can't do any thing without ALLAH subhan- wa-tala. ALLA subhan-wa- tala say in Qur'an chapter 2 surah baqarh aayat 213 " Mankind was of one religion [before their deviation] and ALLAH subhan-wa-tala sent the prophet as a bringer of good tidings and warner and sent down with them the scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed and was differed over it [and that is the scripture] except than who were given it after the clear proof came to them out of jeolous and anomosity amoung theselves and ALLAH subhan-wa-tala guided thoes who belived to the through concerning that over which they had difered by his permission and ALLAH subhan-wa-tala guides whoem he will to the straight path".

he futher says who is better in his religion in chapter 4 surah nisa aayat 125 " And who better in religion than who submit himself to ALLAH  while being doers of good and follows the religion of  Ibraheem  incling towards the truth? and ALLAH took prophet ibraheen  as an intimate friend".

from this we can understandthat he keeps friend to thoes who submit to ALLAH subhan-wa-tala. as i have mentioned to you  in before in the defination of  word  ISLAM

 It means Islam is the religion through which we get the mercy and forgiveness from ALLAH subhan-wa-tala.

How religion got the name ??? ALLAH mention religion name in chapter 2 surah Baqarah aayat 112 "Yes, [on the contrary] whoever submites his face [ie. himself  in ISLAM to ALLAh  (subhan-wa-tala) while being doers of good will have his rewards with his lord and no fear will be concerning them and not will they grieve". 

From this aayat we come to know that ALLAH (subhan-wa-tala)  promises to give happines to thoes who follow the islam religion.... 

Now to be sincer in religion what we have to do exactly......  here ALLAH (subhan-wa-tala) saya's in chapter 39 surah zumar aayat 2 "Indeed, we have sent down to you the book [ o muhammad ] in truth. so worship ALLAH being sincer to him in religion"

Means we have to read and undersatand his book the Glorious Qur'an. It has good tiding, warning and instruction to all the mankind...that we have to undersatnd all this thing and make practice OF folLowing in our daily life..........

ALLAH (subhan-wa-tala) also warns us in chapter 2 surah baqarah aayat 209 "But you slip, after a clear proof comes to you than know that ALLAH is exalted in might and wise".

most of the people follows the religion their ancestors its is NOT  wrong to continue but first we have to find wheather out religion MATCHES to ALLAH (subhan-wa-tala) relgion if yes no problem and if not we have turn towards ALLAH (subhan-wa-tala) religion.  but after coming clear proof to us and we plan to stick to the same by any reasons ALLAH (subhan-wa-tala) say's in chapter 2 surah baqarah aayat 170 "And when it is said to them follow what ALLAH as revealed they say "Rather, will follow that which found our father doing" Though their fathers understood nothing nor they were guided?".

He futher say's in chapter 3 surah imran aayat 105 " And do not be like the one who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had comes to them and thoes will have a great punishment".................
